While stationed in San Diego, the man began doing stand-up comedy back in the good ‘ol mid ‘90s, and earned the title of “Funniest Serviceman in America.” This caught him even more attention, and later led to his big break in 1997 on BET’s Comic View. He was the only white person to host the show, and he’s surely cultivated a large following as he headlined shows and events such as Shaquille O'Neal's All-Star Comedy Jam Tour.
So, what’s the deal with his stand-up shows? Well, he surely has a magnetic personality that’s funny, relatable, and endearing. Drawing material heavily influenced by his personal life, it’s an immersive journey through everything he’s been through. Including content that dives deep into his time in the military, his family, and everyday life absurdities, you’re bound to be hooked on what he’s got to say. For over two decades now, his unapologetic style of comedy that inspired a cross-cultural audience has proven his sincere heart for pure laughs. Drawn from his own life, daily observations, and reflections, it’s authentically Gary Owen. That’s why he brings ‘NO HARD FEELINGS’ on this tour.
